ACCU 2019 call for proposals next month

Russel Winder
Hi,

ACCU 2019 is April 2019. The call for session proposals is next month.

I realise there is a specialist GStreamer conference – I wish I could
be there but it isn't going to be possible :-( – but it is also good to
get GStreamer stuff into other conferences.

ACCU is about 50% C and C++. We get some Go, and last year we had a
goodly chunk of Rust. If someone was wanting to present about why
GStreamer, a C implemented system, ignored C++, but went with Rust,
ACCU would be a great place to put that material.

Details of the conference at https://conference.accu.org

Hi Russel,

[off list]

Shame you can't make it to Edinburgh this year.

I could propose a short talk to ACCU about why we're going for Rust and
not C++ if you think that'd be of interest.

What about Meson talks, do you think that'd be of interest too?

Cheers
