I am in a DVB-T / DVB-T2 area and cannot experiment with ATSC. A person
trying to use GStreamer in ATSC land is having huge difficulties creating a channel file from the ATSC frequency files in the Debian dtv-scan-tables package in the /usr/share/dvb/atsc directory. I am unable to constructively help this person, I am just blundering: https://github.com/Me-TV/Me-TV/issues/31 Is there anyone out there in ATSC land that has been able to run something such as: gst-launch-1.0 dvbsrc uri=dab://WUPW%20TV and can give advice to this person on how to get a suitable channels file? -- Russel. =========================================== Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 41 Buckmaster Road m: +44 7770 465 077 London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk _______________________________________________ gstreamer-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/gstreamer-devel signature.asc (849 bytes) Download Attachment |
Sorry that should of course have been:
gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=dab://WUPW%20TV and we have now got it working. Sadly dvbv5-scan issues what it claims are errors and yet it correctly completes it's task. Also dvbbasebin and dvbsrc issue dire warnings that appear to be errors and FIXME messages which do not seem to affect correct execution but really frighten users being asked to debug remotely. I am unable to trial or test any of this ATSC stuff so what dvbbasebin and dvbsrc need is a GStreamer person in an ATSC area with a DVB capability to do some experimentation and make suggestions for change to the source in gstreamer-plugins-bad. I can only do work from a DVB-T2/DVB-T perspective. On Thu, 2018-12-27 at 17:12 +0000, Russel Winder wrote: > I am in a DVB-T / DVB-T2 area and cannot experiment with ATSC.
