Building for Windows

Andrew Feren
I'm currently developing on a Linux platform, but will also need to
support a windows build of my application.  The Windows Support section
of the manual states that the make file is intended to be used with "the
Microsoft compiler (http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/vctoolkit2003/)".
However, I followed that link to a dead end.

I currently own MSVC 6, but am looking to upgrade.

Anyone have any experience using MSVC 2005 or MSVC 2008 (either
commercial or express edition) to build gstreamer applications?

Thanks,
-Andrew

Re: Building for Windows

Andrew Feren
Thanks Tal.

The cross compiling worked to get my app up and running on Windows no
problem.  Any idea how to get the compiled application not to open a
command window?

I think I will ultimately need to do a native build so I'll look at
OAbuild as well.  For now, however, cross compiling has relieved the
immediate pressure.

Thanks again,
-Andrew
