The GStreamer team is pleased to announce the first development release
in the unstable 1.19 release series. The unstable 1.19 release series adds new features on top of the current stable 1.18 series and is part of the API and ABI-stable 1.x release series of the GStreamer multimedia framework. The unstable 1.19 release series is for testing and development purposes in the lead-up to the stable 1.20 series which is scheduled for release in a few weeks time. Any newly-added API can still change until that point, although it is rare for that to happen. Draft release notes highlighting all the new features, bugfixes, performance optimisations and other important changes in the 1.19/1.20 are still being prepared and will be made available in due course. This development release is primarily for distributors and early adaptors and anyone who still needs to update their build/packaging setup for Meson. Binary packages for Android, iOS, Mac OS X and Windows will be provided shortly. The rough plan going forward is to do at least one more development release (1.19.2) in the near future, and then feature freeze, followed by a first 1.20 pre-release perhaps around the first half of July or so. Then hopefully we can get 1.20 out sometime later that month. All of this depends on some git repository plumbing we are planning to do as well, so delays are entirely possible. As always, please let us know of any issues you run into by filing a bug in Gitlab: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer Enjoy! Binaries are up now at the usual location: https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/pkg/ Please give them a spin and let us know if anything is amiss. Using the new d3d11desktopdupsrc and it works super awesome. So better than the old capture methods. Hope to see a multi monitor support in the feature for this kind of screen capture. Thank you guys for your excellent work. Davide In data 3 giugno 2021 00:11:04 Tim-Philipp Müller via gstreamer-devel <[hidden email]> ha scritto:
