The GStreamer SDK
Multimedia applications built with the SDK binaries will be fully functional on all Linux platforms, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X (version 10.5 or later on Intel). This versatility will provide ISV and professional software developers a much faster time to market. Due to the modular nature of GStreamer, external components can be easily added, making it possible to develop highly scalable software.
In the professional context, Fluendo’s high quality suite of commercial audio and video codecs and DVD Player, as well as Collabora’s consulting services and high level IP conferencing and video editing components are especially suited for applications developed with this SDK. Other companies offering GStreamer-based external components and/or services are expected to join this project in the future.
