I happened to use KUbuntu, and Amarok (the music
player) is attractive. But some log shows Amarok has turned off GStreamer backend
since 2006, it’s really a pity. Does anyone know this history well, and explain some
action points to re-enable it? Thanks ZHAO,

I belive nowadays amarok uses phonon and phonon uses gstreamer by default. But better ask this form the amarok guys. Not many seems to stick around the gstreamer discussion (mailing list and irc) though.
