GStreamer can't play some AVI-files

Ilya Aleshkov
Hi,

I have some really strange AVI-files. I can't play them more than just few milliseconds:

gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///{some path}/file.avi

0:00:00.361956000   400 000001F796644540 WARN                 basesrc gstbasesrc.c:3600:gst_base_src_start_complete:<source> pad not activated yet

New clock: GstSystemClock
Got EOS from element "playbin0".
Execution ended after 0:00:00.265708000
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Setting pipeline to READY ...
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
Freeing pipeline ...

While FFmpeg plays them easily:

ffplay version N-94335-g9869e21776 Copyright (c) 2003-2019 the FFmpeg developers

Have you ever met something like this?

Thanks,

Re: GStreamer can't play some AVI-files

Carlos Rafael Giani-2

I confirm that this appears to be a regression. I tried out this file with both GStreamer 1.6.3 and 1.14.4, and it played properly. In git master, it stops immediately.
