GStreamer expertise needed

Forgive is viewed as spam!  I am not sure I am doing this correctly.

 

I have a client who needs a consultant to resolve some video encoding and quality issues with GStreamer.  They have a product built on the MX51 ARM using Gstreamer framework.  If anyone is available for a consulting assignment please let me know.

Can you please provide the details of the encoding/quality issues along with a description of how gstreamer is being used (e.g., the pipeline(s)), the version used, and any available output?

In my experience this will not happen. Mara is a recruiter and is not qualified to get your questions answered.
If you feel you have some time available let her know, and I am sure she can get you in touch with her client.

This is a paid contract job I think. Anybody who has some time and wants to make some money just let her know.

The hope is that she would pass on to her client the fact that they can ask their questions on this mailing list directly. I was hoping my questions would compel and instigate that scenario. There are plenty of folks on this list that would likely just answer the question(s) without charging a dime.

The fact that they haven't would seem to indicate a lack of understanding of the culture of the software they're using. If they have done that and not received satisfactory support or they have an urgent timeline that could be resolved via payment for an engineer's attention, then that would be worth knowing. There are commercial alternatives -- perhaps, e.g., approaching Collabora, Fluendo, or Entropy Wave and entering into a support or consulting contract.
