I am trying to see if there is any readily available functionality in Gstreamer to manage a list of user generated timestamped bookmarks associated with a media stream, that could be stored as a separate file and could be used (for example) for seeking to specific bookmarked points in the stream as well as to generate a custom event when these markers are hit during normal playback.
From searching this forum, it seems that the GstTimeCache base element would handle most if not all of these requirements, but it seems to have been deprecated. Is there a replacement for this element, or something else that could do the job?
