Gstreamer Installation with Mingw

Rémy PERRIER
Hi all,

I am trying to install gstreamer on Win32 thanks to mingw.
All installation steps seems to  succeed however  examples or some gstreamer commands do not work.

I always get thoses error messages :

zae@zae~
$ gst-inspect

zae@zae~
$
(gst-inspect-0.10:6008): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type
`GstObject'

(gst-inspect-0.10:6008): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initial

tion `parent_type > 0' failed

(gst-inspect-0.10:6008): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initial

My configuration :

OS: win XP
Gstreamer version : 0.10.31
GLIB version  : 2.26.0
gst plugin base : 0.10.31

I would like to know where are my mistakes.
Thanks,

remy

No reason to laugh at others' mistakes - we all make them.

Thanks to original poster, who humbly posted not only the problem, but
also the (obvious, in hindsight) solution to it, there is now another
small piece of useful documentation in public archives for other
GStreamer users to find.

Regards,

   Markus
