Hlssink

Jerry Geis-2
Hi all

I don't think hlssink does any adaptive but rate or anything link that.  If I wanted to decrease the bitrate  how would I do that ?

Thanks

Jerry

Just to make sure we're on the same page: Hlssink is used to produce HLS content for on-demand or live streaming.

At the moment, hlssink only accepts a single input and, as a result, only produces content on a single rate. It would be possible to extend it or, due to how HLS format works, you have have one hlssink for each rate you want to generate and then just have a main playlist file pointing to those hlssink playlists.

Thanks

Jerry
