How do I detect hot plug events in gstreamer

I was trying to detect if the HDMI hot plug event occurred in the gstreamer plugin to set the screen resolution and other such things. How can I detect the hot plug event?

Depends on which src plugin you are using. decklinkvideosrc does have mode=AUTO for automatic detection of input resolution
