Is this the correct way to use a signal watcher in a different thread?

Hello,

I try to develop a program that plays back a sound whenever a key is pressed. I was trying the following:

with this sound: https://freesound.org/people/NoiseCollector/sounds/4359/

but I add a bus signal watch in different thread (or at least that is my first guess to avoid that the GUI gets frozen).

Let me know if I am adding the signal watcher in another context properly,
