Matroska audio problem

Federico Tello Gentile
Hi, I have a problem while playing matroska files with Totem.

The movie starts playing fine, but 90% of the times I jump ahead
(pressing the arrow key) the sound goes mute. Rarely jumping back makes
it come back. The video is not affected. I think some of the times audio
returns if the move is left playing for a while (maybe a minute), but
a/v sync is a bit lost then.

I don't have this problem using VLC with the same movie.

The symptoms are very similar to the ones described in this bug:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=609914

(Btw, I can also confirm that bug when there are multiple audio
streams).

I get this warning on str.err every time I jump forward and audio is
lost running totem this way:

totem --gst-debug-level=2 Videos/PelĂculas/Annie\ Hall_2.mkv

                pulse
pulsesink.c:535:gst_pulsering_stream_overflow_cb:<audio-sink> Got
overflow

At least two mkv files don't have this problem, but all the the ones I
created using mkvmerge v2.9.8 seem to have it.

I'm running 64 bit Ubuntu Karmik Koala.

If anyone is working on the matroska demuxer I'd be glad if I could help
improving it. Maybe providing some more helpful logs or testing
workarounds.
