Next set of releases: Ugly, Bad, FFmpeg and out-of-cycle Good

Jan Schmidt-6
Hi all,

The next release cycle starts tomorrow, Monday 3rd of August, with the
opening of the Plugin Move window for Bad<->Ugly.

Previously, that also meant that Bad/Ugly would freeze, but it seems
silly to freeze 4 days early. Instead, I'll freeze the modules and do
the plugin moves the same day - on Friday 8th.

So, starting tomorrow, the plugin move window is open - please file
blocker bugs against Bad to request moving of any plugins that are ready
to move to Ugly. As usual, the Bad module will only see a release if
there are actually plugins moving from Bad to Ugly, and it'll be a
release from a branch off 0.10.8 containing only the plugin removal.

On Friday, I'll freeze and move the plugins, and cut the first
pre-release tarballs of Bad/Ugly, as well as FFmpeg and Good.

The reason for the extra Good plugins release is solely to move the cdio
plugin, as it shouldn't be in Good with a GPL license. See:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413705

Like Bad, the Good release will be from a branch off the 0.10.9 release
from last week.

Cheers,
Jan.

Plugin-move window open.

Jan Schmidt-6
Heyas,

The plugin move request window opened yesterday. If there are any
plugins you'd like considered to move from Bad to Ugly (or vice versa)
in this cycle, you should already have filed bugs so that there's time
to review the plugins before the window closes on Friday.

Also, to clarify - only FFmpeg and Ugly freeze for this release. If
there are any plugins to move, there'll be a bad release from a branch
off 0.10.8. If no plugins move, there won't be another -bad release at
all.

Cheers,
Jan.
