Can someone confirm if SMPTE Timed Text (SMPTE-TT) subtitle in Dash is supported in Gstreamer?

Yes, it's supported in DASH but there is nothing that can render it
currently. There's however the ttml plugin which can handle the EBU-TT-
D subset of TTML. Adding support for SMPTE-TT there shouldn't be too
much work.
