Seek

I was trying to write a sample mp3application with  " seek" event
so i edited the helloworld application in gstreamer-0.10/tests/examples
for that after creating the elements .
/* ***/
 gst_element_set_state (bin, GST_STATE_PLAYING);

  /* Run event loop listening for bus messages until EOS or ERROR */
  event_loop (bin);
//seek_to_time(bin,2000000);
  /* stop the bin */
  gst_element_set_state (bin, GST_STATE_NULL);
*/*****************/.

It works fine
but in in the event loop function
I wrote
 if (!gst_element_seek (pipeline, 1.0, GST_FORMAT_TIME,
GST_SEEK_FLAG_FLUSH, GST_SEEK_TYPE_SET, 20000
                             _SEEK_TYPE_NONE, GST_CLOCK_TIME_NONE)) {
    g_print ("Seek failed!\n");
  }
for seeking but,
it always get failed..
why its so?

is it error in  the input parameter of gst_element _seek(..);
help me??

To figure out why something fails, the debugging features provided by
GStreamer are quite helpful. Check out the documentation:

http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/manual/html/section-checklist-debug.html

For instance, try starting your application with the option
--gst-debug-level=1 and analyze the output on the command line.
