Set filesrc to NULL state no return

Hello,
My pipeline is like:  filesrc ! decodebin ! videoconvert ! ...
I'm trying to set the the filesrc element to NULL state but it do not
return. If I send EOS event first then the situation  improves but still
sometimes no return. What should I do to prevent that
