Status of bug 435120 (svgoverlay) ?

Olivier Aubert-2
Hello

With the *-bad freeze approaching (at least according to
http://www.gstreamer.net/wiki/ReleasePlanning2010 ), I would very much
like to have the svgoverlay element [1] considered for inclusion, since
it already missed a freeze opportunity. However, there has been no
feedback from a Gstreamer developer since David Schleef's comment on
2010-09-11, 2 months ago.

David Schleef said he was against the inclusion of this element, with
arguments that I have tried to refute in a following comment, and there
is an issue with the API/parameter design of the API, for which I
provided a rationale, without any real feedback except that "it is too
complicated" or "it is not needed".

What would be the appropriate way to go forward with this issue ?

Best regards, and have a nice day.
Olivier Aubert
