Gstreamer is using at most +-15% of my cpu but. And resource usage in total is 70% cpu usage RAM remains at 1.2G of 3G.

It's possible that buffers are dropped from the sink because of too high a latency in the system. What if you add the option sync=false on the xvimagesink? What if you reduce the frame resolution? I agree, thanks... set max-lateness to 200 mili-sec and still works fine... CPU dropped to constant at 10%... So cool
