Timestamping in GStreamer

Hey guys,
I'm currently looking at GstMeta and GstBuffer. I want to add timestamp valu
in the metadata of my stream for each frame ?
Should I use a MetadataAPI adding to a Buffer ?
I don't know what to look at first in order to do this.

Do you have further information about these extra timestamp ? Do they
differ from the GstBuffer.pts/dts values ? Are these timestamp time
codes ?
