av sync

Vineeth-2
Hello,
  I was seeing a strange behavior in av sync;
  Currently I am using the default clock selected by the pipeline.
  When the playback begins, the video is ahead of audio by 4-5 seconds. However, once a seek is performed they are both perfectly in sync.
  Is there any adjustment that is done by the when a seek is performed? Is some adjustment needed when the playback begins?
  Any pointers will be helpful.
Thanks.
