equivalent to gst_app_src_push_buffer() for other data source?

I'm looking at the appsink-src.c example. It uses gst_app_src_push_buffer() in order to push the buffered data from appsink to appsrc.

I wonder if I have another element or bin other than appsrc, how can I push the buffered data to that from appsink?

Is there any equivalent function call for gst_app_src_push_buffer() for that?
