gige vision video source

Bert Douglas
Hi All,

Does anyone know of a video source that can accept data from a gige-vision camera?

If I write my own, how should I do it ?  I see something called "appsource".  Is this what I should use?

Thanks much,
Bert Douglas

You may want to look at aravis, a library implementing the Genicam
standard and which supports gigabit ethernet cameras. It also provides a
basic gstreamer source element.

No website yet, just a git repository here:

http://git.gnome.org/browse/aravis/

A release repository here (0.1.1 will be released soon):

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/aravis/0.1/

And a blog:

http://blogs.gnome.org/emmanuel/category/aravis/

Emmanuel.
