gst-device-monitor-1.0 displays audio devices only

running gst-device-monitor-1.0 results in a list of class Audio/Sink only.

There is no way to get the list of video devices: (I have the internal
camera and two external USB cameras attached)

Probing devices...

gstdevicemonitor.c:465:gboolean gst_device_monitor_start(GstDeviceMonitor

Also: is there another way to get to know the value of the device index
required for avfvideosrc plugin?

To go further you would have to contribute a provider plugin for OSX. I don't think anyone have programmed one yet.
