gst-inspect-1.0 corrupts the serial console

Fabio Estevam
Hi,

I notice the following problem when running Gstreamer built with
Buildroot or Yocto: running a simple gst-inspect-1.0 command, corrupts
the serial console like shown below:

# gst-inspect-1.0 v4l2convert

I am running Gstreamer 1.18.2, but I recall seeing this on older versions too.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Fabio Estevam

Re: gst-inspect-1.0 corrupts the serial console

Edward Hervey-4
Hi,

Either set the GST_INSPECT_NO_COLORS to 1 (or anything), or call gst-inspect-
1.0 with --no-colors

   Edward

This helps, thanks.

The issue that is still present is that after running "gst-inspect-1.0
--no-colors v4l2convert" the output does not go immediately below the
gst-inspect-1.0 line.

It goes to the top of the console instead, overwriting the previous content:

Is there any solution for that too?

Thanks,
