Hi,
as you all probably know, there are gst-plugins-good and -bad releases scheduled for August 17th, so we are going to freeze -good and -bad for commits soon. The good <--> bad plugin move window is now open, so if you want to see plugins moved from good to -bad or from -bad to -good, act now and file or update the corresponding bug in bugzilla. The plugin moving guidelines (for moves from -bad to -good) can be found here: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/plain/docs/random/moving-plugins Now is also your last chance to ping us on bugs or patches you think should go in or be looked at before the code freeze. For non-critical things, a simple follow-up comment on the bug should be enough. Everything else (regressions, crashers etc.), please mark as blocker. The plan is to freeze -good and -bad some time on Monday (August 10th) and then have the first round of prereleases ready on Monday or Tuesday. Hi Tim,
i searched on gstreamer mailinglist about gdkpixbufsink and found your Name :-) My plan is to make an open-source app of www dot cSwing dot com. My first approach is to play a video and draw a line in this video. I think, i can do this with gstreamer (gdkpixbufsink) and gdk funktionality? Have you got an working example of your gst-player-pixel which you can give to me? Hello Hans
You can have a look at Advene ( http://www.advene.org/ ) : with it, you can define annotations of any type. Just define SVG annotations (a mini-SVG editor is available) and ask to display it over the video (through a rule-based view definition). On linux, it depends on gstreamer and you need to compile the gstgdkpixbufoverlay element to get SVG support, see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499234 / http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=550443 . Note that the current (0.38) does not work correctly with gstreamer >= 0.10.22 (snapshot issue). It is fixed in the svn version, but I have to fix win32 issues before making a new release.
