gst-stream-server support

kroketor
hi, i'm interested in using gst-stream-server because i have to stream local video and ipcamstream  to a browser. I have the doubt between using gst-stream-server or tcpserversink but i have seen that the git of gst-stream-server has been four years without actualization, has been abandoned this project? is still usable and confiable?

Be aware that very little maintenance happens on this component. It is also not being released as part of the GStreamer release cycle.

AFAIK, it does certain streaming reasonably well. You can go through GST conference video of 2012.

What exactly you are trying I to do? If you are looking at HLS, hlssink does the job reasonably well

hi, i'm needing to stream local archives and restream ipcams to a web under client demand. Now im trying to do it with tcpserversink and the video tag of html but it seems that the video tag can't open a video stream. I haven't tried nothing with hls yet but it seems, and i can be wrong, that it can be less compatible with all the browsers
