Why don't you remove gst plugin cache file ($HOME/.gstreamer-0.10\registry.i686.xml) and try it again?
2008/3/27, Phil Pellouchoud <[hidden email]>:
I downloaded gst-template and tried building and running
gst-app.
When I execute it to try and play a file, I get:
'Could not create GStreamer 'playbin' element. Please
install it"
Any ideas on what could be causing that? I had to re-direct
GST_PLUGIN_PATH to point to my built plugins instead of the installed plugins –
is there something else I need to change?
