Hi,
I am working on gstreamer for the first time. I need to port gstreamer in i.mx27 board. Linux is running on the board and i need to port gstreamer over it. Can anyone say me, what are requirements for porting ? how can i cross compile the gstreamer for the board? Had anyone worked on project like this? If anyone know the step for porting gstreamer on this board or any board similar to this, please send me the steps for the same. Thanks for the support --

If you are using MX27ADS Linux BSP from Freescale you can install Gstreamer by doing a "./ltib -c" command and then under Package list ---> you can select all Gstreamer related packages (base, good, bad, ugly, etc). Hi Fabio,
Thanks for the reply. I am using custom board. i had downloaded the package, as use said by using LTIB and the audio is working and video is not working. My task is to separately download the gstreamer package, cross compile for the board and port it. Can u help me out, by providing steps 1. how to cross compile the package ? 2.what are the Pre-requirements and library need along with this package? When i run a video file in my board, using the command gst-launch filesrc location=matrixbench_highdivx_ac3.avi ! decodebin ! autovideosink i get an error message saying, Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... ERROR: Pipeline doesn't want to pause. ERROR: from element /pipeline0/autovideosink0: Could not initialize supporting library. Additional debug info: gstautovideosink.c(234): gst_auto_video_sink_detect (): /pipeline0/autovideosink0: Failed to find a supported video sink Setting pipeline to NULL ... FREEING pipeline ... Can u say me what the issue is and how to solve it. Thanks for the reply and supportRegards V.Murugadoss

The exact package names may vary, depending on your linux distro. * libglib2: Bugzilla 550 rpm-based distros: install glib2 and glib2-devel debian-based distros: install libglib2.0 and libglib2.0-dev * libxml2: Bugzilla 551 rpm-based distros: install libxml2 and libxml2-devel debian-based distros: install libxml2 and libxml2-dev Taken from http://www.freescale.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/support_info/BSPIMX31ADSLTIB__RN.txt > When i run a video file in my board, using the command > gst-launch filesrc location=matrixbench_highdivx_ac3.avi ! > decodebin ! > autovideosink > > i get an error message saying, You should use mfw_vpudecoder for decoding and mfw_v4lsink for sink as stated in the MX27 Gstreamer plugins Reference Manual I pointed you in my last message.
