how to customize Gstreamer pipeline in Totem

Sin-2
Hi all, What changes would be required in my decoder and sink element so that while running totem, the playbin picks-up my elements? I followed some earlier discussion on this and a long chain mail. However, didn't find it complete. Could anyone pl point me to the complete chain? or broadcast the executive summary of this? thanks, -s

Re: how to customize Gstreamer pipeline in Totem

sledge hammer
Your decoder should have a high rank(especially if there are other similar elements) to be picked up by playbin.
Your sink us picked up by the settings in the program called "gstreamer-properties" (run it in the terminal)
