Hi,
I have a question about plugin registry caching. On a windows system, where is the plugin registry stored? I know you can doink around with the GST_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable to identify the location of plugins, but it seems like it's got to be caching that data somewhere because when I do a gst-inspect after setting that, the information comes back immediately - I can't believe that it's loading every single DLL and querying it. -phil ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. The registry is stored in

Okay, cool. On my home system, I see that file, but on my work system,
I don't. It it not easy expect the exact location of plugin cache in Windows. Usually it goes under %USERPROFILE%\.gstreamer-0.10\registry.i686.xml. However, when I execute gst-launch-0.10 in Cygwin, now the cache is located in $HOME/.gstreamer-0.10/registry.i686.xml
