measuring delay, caused by the Gstreamer elements

Martin.Lehmann-2

Hello everybody,

I want to know exactly, how much delay is really created by my pipeline.

Can I measure this somehow with a small gstreamer-app? Could it be possible to measure using Gst-launch?

My first idea was, to get the timestamp of any buffer, provided by the source and taken by the sink

and just subtract them both to get a current delay for every sample that passes through my pipe.

Regards,

Martin
