I forked
gst-plugins-base to do this. I created an
issue to document my approach. If anyone has any comments/suggestions, feel free.
If I get something to work I will let the community know in case there is enough interest to merge my fork back into the main repository and release it in an update. In that case, I may ask for help in order to insure that new code is compliant, as I am new to Gstreamer.
