Status on BufferMetadata?

Albert Costa
Hi All,
there once was a topic on the need for a mechanism to transport extra data in a GstBuffer.
I currently use GStreamer for video analysis (e.g. feature detection) and would find the mechanism very usefull because I always need to send specific data between my own made plugins. For the time beeing, I create my own gstbuffers and fill them with my data, which is all but convenient...
What is the status on the topic? Is it in a dead end, or just waiting for more inputs?
Regards,
Al

The Appscio Media Processing Framework (MPF) is built on top of gstreamer and is designed to handle metadata.

... and if you wanna do a MPF source checkout? Seen more documentation
available in the code.

svn checkout https://svn.appscio.com/svn/MPF/trunk
