hammerwerfer
Hi,

somehow i feel thats a stupid question, but i just did a fresh install of Debian 8.7. I installed every gstreamer package (base, good, bad, ugly, tools) with apt-get.

gst-inspect-1.0 --version
Gstreamer 1.4.4

now i try:
gst-inspect-1.0 appsrc (ok)
gst-inspect-1.0 x264enc (ok)
gst-inspect-1.0 cutter (ok)

gst-inspect-1.0 concat
> no such element

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jens

Hi Jens,

Is a corelement. Why you don’t get this, no idea. On 1.8.2 I get following:

gst-inspect-1.0 concat

Factory Details:

  Rank                     none (0)

  Long-name                Concat

  Klass                    Generic

  Description              Concatenate multiple streams

  Author                   Sebastian Dröge <[hidden email]>

Plugin Details:

  Name                     coreelements

  Description              GStreamer core elements

  Filename                 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gstreamer-1.0/libgstcoreelements.so

  Version                  1.8.2

  License                  LGPL

  Source module            gstreamer

  Source release date      2016-06-09

  Binary package           GStreamer (Ubuntu)

  Origin URL               https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer1.0

Should be easier for you to check this…

Bernhard
