gstreamer1.0-libav is not available

Shubham Shrivastava
Package gstreamer1.0-libav is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'gstreamer1.0-libav' has no installation candidate

AW: gstreamer1.0-libav is not available

Maurer, Marie

Have you tried

gst-inspect-1.0

It list all elements

You can do e.g.

gst-inspect-1.0 | grep av

to list all elements which contain av.

On which platform/environment are you doing your tests? Which gstreamer version?

This looks like Linux distro issue, not GStreamer. It's better to get in touch with your distro maintainers.
