Hi,
I want to install the gst-plugins-bad package. I tried to install the latest version. The configure log lists xvid in the plugins with dependencies that will not be built. configure: *** checking feature: xvid plugins *** configure: *** for plug-ins: xvid *** checking xvid.h usability... no checking xvid.h presence... no checking for xvid.h... no configure: *** These plugins will not be built: xvid How do i get around this ? Thanks & regards, Nikhil. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: High Quality Requirements in a Collaborative Environment. You'll need libxvid along with the development headers.

If configure doesn't find the xvid dependencies it's because it CAN NOT FIND THEM ! Trying to fake it will just cause you bigger issues later on. I gave the proper answer in another reply.
